His verdict: "Before Israel, I read the Bible in black and white. Now I see it in color." He and CL also discuss their surprise at finding Muslims, Christians, and Jews living and doing business side by side in Old Jerusalem — a reality the propaganda never shows.
The conversation takes a devastating turn when John opens up about losing his son to suicide, revealing that his boy was lured through Twitch and Discord into groups that actively encourage kids to kill themselves. CL and John explore why young Americans don't want to live in the greatest nation on earth, connecting it to the absence of God, the rise of AI that tells kids what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear, and the collapse of empathy, sympathy, and basic decency. CL also drops a pointed observation: both Obama and Kamala Harris were handpicked for Black voters to vote for, yet neither has a slave history in this country.
In the final segment, Babet Holder reports from the ground in Illinois, where a young woman named Bethany McGee was set on fire on a Chicago L train by a repeat offender who was released back onto the streets. Babet connects the lawlessness to Governor Pritzker's ambitions, Brandon Johnson's failed leadership, and the half-billion dollars Pritzker gave to Chinese Communist-affiliated company Gotion — all while Illinois taxpayers suffer the second-highest gas taxes in the nation and zero accountability from their leaders.
